Finding Time...

Finding time to post on here is becoming more and more scarce. I am going to attempt to update for the past couple of months. Note: the pictures are not in order -sorry.

First some Avery updates....Avery starting crawling when he was about 6 1/2 months old and has not stopped since. He started saying "mama" at about 8 months. I don't know if he really knows what he is saying.....but it works for me. Of course, he babbles and says other things, but nothing we can really make out. He loves to eat puffs, any kind of baby food, and well practically anything. :) He started pulling up on furniture (especially his crib) when he was about 7 months old and this past week he has started walking around the furniture and walking behind his push toys. At his 9 month checkup Dr E said that he expects him to walk early. Also at his checkup he weighed 18 1/2 pounds. He's getting to be a big boy! He loves taking his baths, wiggling and flipping over when you change his diaper, sitting in his high chair, begging for your food, and playing with anything but his toys. We swapped out his car seat for a big boy car seat this week. He was waaayyyy to big for his carrier. His feet poked out the end and he did not have any room to move. He loves playing with cell phones, crawling on the fireplace and eating the rocks out of it, and looking at magazines (although he normally ends up eating them or ripping them). He does not like to change clothes, wait for his food, or sleep when there is a crowd.

He also has begun sleeping in the bed with us. :( I really did not want this to happen, because I do not sleep well with him in the bed with us. Makes me nervous, that we will roll on him or he will fall off. None the less, he is waking up quite a bit during the night. He had been doing soo good about sleeping through most of the night, but at about 7 months he started to cry and scream about every two hours. I blame his teeth. We finally just gave up and put him in the bed with us. He still wakes up, but atleast we don't have to get out of the bed. Lazy, I know, but I need my sleep!

Avery had his first Christmas and WE thoroughly enjoyed it. I really want him to believe in Santa Claus, so I wanted to start the "tradition" early. Christmas eve we left cookies and milk for Santa. The next morning when we got up half the cookies were eaten, the milk was gone, the stockings were full, and there were tons of presents under the tree. Must have been Santa!! Avery went straight to the presents when he got up. He was excited! Santa didn't do a very good job of taking all the presents out of the boxes, but thats ok, I'm sure he was tired. ;) Here are some pictures of Avery's first Christmas.

After we finished at our house we went to Josh's grandmothers for brunch and of course to open more gifts. Avery got formula from Josh's grandparents. YAY!:)

This picture was taken christmas eve at Josh's parents house (Nana and Pops). He got lots more formula, clothes, a Tiger blanket, and a truck. He got an Auburn shirt and Diapers from Aunt Keri and Ross.

Also, christmas Eve we went to Josh's Aunt Paige's to eat and play games. This year the "young" kids won again! We played gestures and it was soo much fun.

Avery was soo tired and he fell asleep while we were there.

Christmas night we went over to my mom and dad's to eat and open more presents. Avery got more toys and some clothes. The grand kids had a great time together and my mom really loved her picture of all them. The grown ups play dirty santa and everyone always has a great time. The day after Christmas we left about 9:00am and headed to Birmingham. This year the Till Christmas was in Birmingham instead of Opelika, which worked out great for us. We were traveling to Smith Lake on Monday to my Aunt Susan's lake house. We always play dirty santa on the Till side of the family and it's always a blast. This year's theme was "your favorite things". We a got Starbucks giftcard and coffee and the Eclipse movie. Definitley a few of my favorite things. That night we stayed at Aunt Keri's house. We woke up early the next morning (of course) and went and ate breakfast with Josh's mom, dad, and Keri. After breakfast we left to head north to Smith Lake. We also played Dirty Santa at the Lake House. This year the theme was "In the Kitchen". We ended up with a nice knife and some neat measuring cups. We had a really great time visiting with family, but had to return home that afternoon. Here again all these pictures are on facebook and I have not pulled them off. See my facebook page.

These pictures are soo backwards! The pictures below were taken at Thanksgiving, but it has to do with Christmas. We took pictures in front of the barn at my mom and dad's for my parents for Christmas.

This is one of the pictures that we took of all the grandkids. It was hard trying to get them to all be still and smile at the same time. We did manage to get them to be still for a couple, but not all smile at the same time. :)

2o1o was one for the record books. Avery Bryant Till was born and Auburn won the National Championship. ;) Can't get any better than that! I cannot wait to see what 2011 holds for us!!

WAR EAGLE! 12-0! SO, Auburn has won the SEC West and they Beat Alabama! We are super excited and hope that the winning keeps going! A National Championship would be awesome!

Avery has a new place to play. HE loves to see if he can get up on the fireplace. He has only accomplished it once, but he does not give up.

He doesn't love to play with his toys, he would rather play with "grown-up" things like the remote, cell phone and really anything you are using. Of course everything goes straight to his mouth when he gets it.

He is now sporting 2 teeth on the bottom. They are super sharp and he is not afraid to use them! :)

We went down to the beach to see Josh's family and for Avery and AL to meet for the first time. Melanie(Josh's cousin/AL's mom) and the family were at the beach for the week of Thanksgiving and we went down to see them the Sunday before. We had a great trip and Avery even got his picture taken at the Bass Pro Shop with Santa.

We didn't actually go out on the beach, but we did stand on the pavillion to get some pictures.

He liked to look at the beach, hopefully he will like to go next summer.

Thanksgiving was a little bit of a blurr, but I do remember eating. The morning of, Josh got called out at 2:30am and so he was really tired and needed to rest, so Aunt Keri came over and played with Avery while I did a little cooking. We had lunch at Barbara and Claytons house and then we had dinner at my parents. We took some pictures before we ate and had a great time. Avery liked to roll around in the grass and eat leaves.

Of course the Iron Bowl was this weekend and WAAARRRR EAAAGGLLE! It was a disaster at first, but glad to see Auburn get it together! On to the SEC championship!

The stockings are hung and the tree is up! We strategically placed the tree in between the couch and chair to keep ornament snatchers away. We can block it off with the ottoman.

Avery is 6 months old now!

Here are some randoms that Avery does or has done........

He loves to play on the floor and look at the cow picture. He LOVES the cow picture. He looks for it everyday when we get him home from daycare. It makes him smile.

This was his first swimming trip. He wasn't so sure about it at first, but once he got use to it, he loved it.

Fourth of July and a new toy

This is a little out of order, but before we went to Hunny's house on the 4th, we were at Lake Martin with the Till side of Josh's family.

We always travel to Lake Martin every 4th of July to spend some time with Josh's Family. This year was no exception, even if we had to pack the house to go. We had a great time. Here are a couple of pics from the weekend.

Daycare was closed the week of the 4th of July, so I took off to spend the week with Mr. Avery. I loved every minute and wish I could stay home a lot more with him! :) We didn't do much of anything, we just lounged around the house in our pajamas every day!

Avery got a new toy! I think everytime I go to Wal-Mart he gets something new! I decided he needed something he could sit up in to play, therefore he is now a proud owner of a play and bounce. So far he likes it. He loves to look and grab at the toys. When he does get a hold of a toy, it normally goes straight to his mouth. I assume he is teething, but I haven't seen any teeth yet.

Rocking and Rolling

Avery is over 3 months old now. Where has the time gone? He has started chewing on his hands and drooling, which makes me think he might be teething. I haven't seen any signs of teeth in his month, but I know they are coming. He also has rolled over several times. He will rock to the side a couple of times and then around the third try he will flip over to his stomach. He has even double rolled on occasion. He talks to us and smiles when he sees us and he knows he is about to get fed when he hears or sees us shaking his bottle. We recently took a trip to the beach with my family and had a great time. We didn't see any oil at the beach, but it was all around us. The Nall crew had a blast grilling, racing at the Race Trac, and spending time at the beach and pool. We managed to get some family pictures. See below...

We have many more trips planned for this summer. We are going to Lake Martin over the 4th of July weekend and are headed to Smith Lake in Arley, AL, July 17th and 18th. So far Avery has been a really good traveler and I hope it continues. Although, I think we might need to consider getting me a bigger vehicle, because of all the Avery "stuff" we have to take. :)

We saw Dr E. for ABT's 2 month check-up and everything looks good! Of course he had to have 4 shots and that was no fun, but he did ok during them. He weighed 11lbs 5 oz and was 24 in long. He is in the 50th percentile on his weight and well above avg on his height. He is going to be tall! We also had some pictures made with Amy Nichols last Friday. I can't wait to see them! On a sad note I will be returning to work tomorrow. I'm ready to go back, but I am not ready to leave my little man. Here are some pictures of our little boy!

2 months!

Before I get into Avery's 2 month photos, I wanted to share ACB and ABT's fun photo shoot. We did these when Annaleigh was 4 weeks old and Avery was 7 weeks. I thought they turned out pretty good! We couldn't get any good ones of them to together this time. There was just too much movement and slinging of arms from Avery.

Anyways, on to the 2 month update.

Our little man has hit the 2 month mark! He has become so aware and active! He kicks and squirms, and I think he is even attempting to swim in his bath tub! :) He is starting to smile and coo, which makes me sooo excited! I love it when babies laugh and coo at you! He started daycare this week and it was hard the first day. He is only going a couple of hours, so I can do majorette tryouts. I drop him off at 1:30pm and Josh picks him at 4:30pm. So, he really is not there very long.

Avery goes to the beach!

Avery took his first long car ride to the beach. He did excellent! He slept most of the time. He loves to ride in the car! We took him out on the beach and did a little shopping! The beach was very windy, so we didn't stay out on it very long. Here are a couple of pics of his first trip to the beach. We will be going back to the beach in June with my family and I am so ready! I just hope that the recent oil disaster off the coast of LA doesn't destroy our beautiful beaches! :/

6 weeks and growing...

Avery is now 6 weeks old! I decided as of this blog that I will do Avery updates once a month, because it is becoming harder and harder for me to do anything. He use to sleep most of the day and now he stays awake a little more and demands more attention. :) I had heard everyone say that some babies have a "witching hour", well ABT has one. He normally gets fired off around 5-6 and calms down after his bath, but for about 3 hours he is mad! He really enjoys his baths now though!

Taking a nap. He loves his pappy. I really recommend the Avent pacifiers. His cousin Annaleigh loves hers too.

ONE MONTH OLD

Another week has gone by, Avery is now 1 month old! He had his first bath in his whale tub this week. From the picture below, you can tell he was not real sure about it. The good thing is that he didn't cry the whole time. The second bath he did even better, so hopefully he will like it!

Annaleigh came to visit on Avery's one month birthday. We tried to get some pics of them together but they didn't seem to care a whole lot for the camera. Here is one that turned out pretty good.

Annaleigh Cathryn Brooks

Avery's cousin, Annaleigh Cathryn, made her debut April 6th at 9:34am. She weighed 8lbs 5 oz and was 22 inches long. Annaleigh and Avery will be growing up together and will be 3 weeks apart in age. They will attend the same daycare and the same school when they are older. Big Brother Riley is super excited too. He loves to hold her! Also, on a different note...Riley is an awesome T-ball player! He does really well at first base for a 6 year old. Hopefully we can go to his next game and gets some pictures!

Happy Birthday to Josh! So, it was kind of hard for me to do anything for Josh's birthday. For one, I can't drive and two, its hard to do anything with a 2 week old. I was going to bake some cupcakes, but I didn't get around to doing that. However, I did get my mom to take me by Ward and Co. to pick up a couple of presents. Avery gave his dad a Guy Harvey T-shirt and I got him some Rainbow flip flops. Also yesterday, Avery was 2 weeks old! My how time is flying! He had his 2 week appointment with Dr E. Everything looked good. They pricked his foot to get some blood and he absolutely hated it! He screamed and screamed, but that's what happens at the doctors office. Here is his 2 week picture and a picture of Josh' s birthday presents.

He had his first doctor's appointment with Dr E. He didn't like his clothes to be off, but other than that he did really good.

It all started Monday morning when I went to my doctors appt. I never thought that I would be spending the week in the hospital at the time. But the outcome is unbelievable and a God given blessing!

The nurse checked my blood pressure and it was high, so she said she wanted to check it again in a few minutes. We thought that it was just my nerves, being that it was the week of my due date. When she came back and checked, it was still high. Once Dr W came by, he told me that he would like for me to go over to the hospital to be monitored for a little while. He said that my blood pressure would probably go down and if it didn't he would discuss what we needed to do then. My blood pressure probably rocked the scale at this point. The thought of having to go to the hospital was not what I had planned to do that afternoon. After a couple of hours of being straped to monitors and my blood pressure not decreasing, I started to get a little worried. What in the world was going on. Why was my blood pressure not going down? Probably about 3 in the afternoon Dr. W came and talked to me about being induced. Here again my blood pressure probably sky rocketed. He said that I was 391/2 weeks along and he didn't see any problem with the induction. After being a bit overwhelmed, I finally calmed to let everyone know that I was going to be admitted to the hospital (March 15, 2010) and would be induced the next day (March 16, 2010) at 6am. I just knew that we would have a baby by lunch that day. Boy, was I wrong!

Because I was not dilated any, he wanted to start me on some meds that would help me along over night, so the next morning I would be good and ready for labor. At 6 the next morning the pitocin drip was initiated. I had a few contractions at first, but nothing serious. I kept thinking that I must be one of those women who wouldn't experience that much labor pain. ;) Lunch rolled around and the nurse checked me and nothing. I was not even dilated a centimeter. UGHHH! She let the Dr know and he said to continue the drip til that afternoon and he would drop by. Keep in mind that I had not had anything to eat since the night before. My hunger pains were worse than the contractions! Not to mention that the monitors were very uncomfortable, I couldn't move much (the monitors would move), the blood pressure cup would cut off my circulation in my arm every 15 minutes, the IV wires were short and so I had to use the porta chair to go to the bathroom...MISERABLE and still no baby! Dr W finally came around to see me about 4pm. He said that he would like to go a second day on pitocin and see if it would work tomorrow, but in the mean time I could get up and move around, get something to eat and take a shower. This was music to my ears! Well Day 2 rolled around and pretty much the same thing happened. No dilation and not much labor contractions. FRUSTRATED and MISERABLE! How does the pitocin drip not work! Dr W said that this happens sometimes and proceeded to let me know my options. He said that it was too risky to send me home because of my blood pressure. So, he suggested I go a third day on the drip (OMG!) and have a C-section the next day if that doesn't work or go ahead and have a C-section that afternoon (OMG OMG!). If my blood pressure wasn't high before, it was now! He said he would give me a little time to think about it. I had no idea what to do! Josh wanted to go ahead and have the C-section that afternoon, but I had just heard so many bad things about it that I almost thought that going a third day on the drip would be a better option. But wait, it hasn't worked for two days and whose to say it will work tomorrow and if it didn't I would have to have a C-section then. I would like to say that this was the toughest decision of my life! I just wanted to do what was good for the baby. I was a nervous wreck. Everyone told me that I should just go ahead and have the C-section, but I had this "what if" syndrome that I was dealing with. I mean my sisters and mom had all had their babies naturally with no complications, of course I would be the odd ball and have complications. After about an hour and half of calling everyone I knew that had a C-section and those that had not, the decision was made. We would go ahead with C-section and not risk stressing the baby anymore. Once the decision was made everything was put into overdrive, there was no turning back. The nurses were racing around getting everything together. I was about to have a baby!! The whole process took about 45 minutes (prep, C-section, delivery, everything) and AVERY BRYANT TILL was born at 5:17pm on March 17, 2010. He weighed 8lb and was 22 inches long and is most beautiful baby ever! Such a blessing! Everyone says he looks like me. :) As far as the C-section it was a breeze. I had very little pain from it and I feel like we made the right decision. Everyone said that I would not be able to do anything, that the pain and soreness would prevent me from enjoying the baby. I just think that everyone's body is different and mine handled it really well. I had a worse time with the pain medications that they gave me after recovery. They made me dizzy and crazy! (that is another story) I hated it and told them I did not want anymore pain meds (which i didn't need anyways). :)

We are now getting into a routine at home and everything is going great! He is such a good baby and we love him so much! I got my staples removed and Dr W. said that the cut looked great and even went as far as to say that I would want to show it off. Hahaha! Blood pressure is still up, so he put me on some mild meds that would help, but he thought that given time that it would come back down. Let's hope so!

Around 3 weeks to go and the nursery is starting to come together. All we lack is the rocking chair! (and maybe a rug) I hope to get a picture of the finished product by this weekend.

I purchased this swimsuit from Kelly Kids. Is it not the cutest thing you have ever seen!? I cannot wait to put him in it!

We finally got the changing table painted and put in the room. All we needed was the changing pad and Jim and Anna gave it to us at the couples shower. Thanks so much! I haven't got everything organized in it, so just disregard the mess. Oh, and don't forget the diaper genie beside the table. Thanks Keri!

We received the stroller at a shower at Kayla's house (which was great). Josh's aunts, uncle and granparents bought it for us. It matches the car seat and high chair.

Dave, Mandi and the hosts and hostesses did a wonderful job decorating, cooking and hosting! Everything was perfect! We had a wonderful time and we appreciate everyone coming to the shower! A Winter wonderland!

So it snowed and snowed and snowed in South Alabama today! It was looking a little iffy this morning as to whether it would really snow or not today. It started out as freezing rain and then began to snow (huge snowflakes). It snowed from about 8:00am to about 3:00pm here. I have enjoyed watching it out the window. So pretty! I really didn't want to get out in it, because I was so warm and cozy inside the house, but I finally ventured out late in the afternoon. If I wasn't 35 weeks pregnant I think I would have built a huge snowman! I opted for a miniture one instead. ;)

I really like the Diaper wipe cases that are covered and you can buy them at various stores for $20-$30, but why buy it and pay that much when you can make it for half the cost! Check out this blog http://makeitandloveit.blogspot.com I was browsing trying to find out how to make these really cute diaper wipe cases when I stumbled across this blog. It is fabulous! She does all kinds of crafts and it is very helpful. Here are a couple of diaper wipe cases that I have done. I had a lady at work monogram the "J" for me (along with a couple of others), because I do not do a sewing machine. :) Maybe I should learn.... Thanks Misty! The others I just glued the ribbon on to make the letters. Its amazing what you can do yourself!

More baby room pictures!

So, I got back into painting this past weekend. I painted the deer pictures (see previous blog) when i was around 10 weeks pregnant or so and I really hadn't wanted to do anything since then. Well, this past weekend I decided that the walls needed a little something else. I browsed the internet and looked for different pictures or verses that I could paint. I really couldn't find anything that I just loved. I saw a picture or two of some hand-painted striped photos that I liked and so I decided I would paint some more of Josh's (hopefully soon to be Avery's) hunting game. Josh likes to hunt turkeys and duck along with deer. Anyways, I painted the pictures below and I think they turned out pretty good. The turkey is not our favorite, but it will have to do. On the other hand the duck is our absolute favorite! :) I added other pictures to the mix to share some of the other items in his room.

This dresser was Josh's during college and he had never painted. We finally got it painted and it looks so much better.

Just a couple of items that have accumulated along the way. The "Oh Boy" picture frame came from Mrs Sandra and the baby book I purchased to go with it. The Blue and white piggy bank was a gift from Avery's Aunt Keri (Josh's sister). Thanks Keri and Sandra!

This is the inside of the Crib right now. The stuffed horse came from Mrs. Rabren and it is so soft. Love it! The blanket was hand made by our neighbor Mrs Goodson. Love it too!

Get Ready, Get Set, GO!

We are getting ready for Avery to make his debut. Josh and i decided to go with an outdoor/deer theme for his room. We had already started to paint the room brown before I found out I was pregnant, so we went with it. So far, it has worked out well. Here are some pictures I painted to go along with his baby deer bedding.

Mrs Yeargain (Josh's Mom and dad's neighbor) crocheted the multicolor blanket and Honey gave us the bright blue and green bamboo dreamsack blanket. I bought the other. The bamboo dream sack blankets feel soo good. Most babies that I know that have them, have loved them, so I decided we would try it on Avery too.

Thanks Uncle Jim and Aunt Eva for the Christmas outfit. Avery is going to be so cute in it next Christmas!

Ok...I am going to attempt to go all the way back to October to get caught up. Oh my!

OCTOBER:

Brad and Robin (Josh's cousin) got married October 31 in Birmingham. Josh and I spent the weekend up there and had a fabolous time! The wedding and reception were beautiful!

We also found out we were having a boy in October.

Aubrey (Amanda's girl) had a princess birthday party in October, which i thought I had some pics of, but i can't seem to locate. :/

NOVEMBER:

In November I had a birthday...I turned 27. :( I am getting old.

Thanksgiving is always a great time! I especially enjoyed it this year due to the fact I felt like since I was pregnant i could eat everything. (Big Mistake, I was soo miserable that night) We had lunch at Josh's grandmothers and then we ate dinner at my parents house. The food was great!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to Honey's house to eat again and watch the Alabama vs. Auburn game. The game started out great and I really thought that Auburn was going to pull it out, but it just didn't happen. Anyways, WAR EAGLE! I have been slacking in the picture area, because I have not wanted any of myself.

Of course we had to do a little shopping the day after Thanksgiving...Jennifer (my sister) and I normally head to Walmart at the break of dawn to catch some of the good deals. I had my eye on a HP laptop that they were going to have on sale. Need less to say they only had six and they were gone long before I got to Walmart. I was very disappointed! Jennifer finished out pretty good and managed to get Riley the Nintendo DS that he wanted. Wal-mart was crazy this year! I have never seen that many people there after Thanksgiving!

DECEMBER:

December is always a hectic month! I love the Christmas season, but it just seemed a little more hectic than normal this year.

I was unable to put my Christmas decorations up this year, due to our floors being replaced, but thats ok...I will make up for it next year! :)

Josh and I celebrated 2 years of marriage this past December 8th. We went and ate at David's catfish for our anniversary. We had decided not to get each other a gift this year, but we ended up buying each other something anyways. Josh gave me some perfume and I gave him an under armour camo jacket.

Riley (Jennifer's son) turned 6 this year on December 15th. I cannot believe he is kindergarten already. They had his birthday party at the Opp skating rink and he had a blast! Last year at his birthday party, I attempted to skate and it was not a good idea! I found myself plastered to the rink and was sore and bruised for 2 weeks! I DID NOT skate this year! Many of my family members that skated last year, learned there lesson for this year as well! :o

We had lots of places to go for Christmas this year. It seems like another place gets added every year. We started out Christmas eve morning by going to Huddle House and eating breakfast. I really like eating a waffle there (I always have, so it is not a craving). After that we ate lunch with Josh parent's and Keri and Ross. We then went to Josh's Aunt Paige's house and had dinner. They roasted a hog this year and everyone loved it. We always play family feud or some game after dinner. The "young adults" have won for the past 2 years, but "old adults" pulled out a W this year. After that we went to Josh's parents to see what Santa had brought. (he comes a little earlier over there) We opened all our gifts and got everything we wanted. They are so good to us! We then traveled to the Clark household and visited with them for a little while. John and ALy came home from their travels and surprised everyone.

Now for Christmas day.....

We started early by going to Josh's grandparents house (Stewarts). We arrived there around 8:30 am and ate breakfast. Every year "the kids" exchange names. This year we had Molly and Katie. We gave Molly a pair of under armour batting gloves and Katie received some jewelry and bath and body works. After all the fun there we went to my parents house and played dirty santa. This was our 2nd annual dirty santa at the Nall's residence. We had a great time, but before we knew it, it was time to hit the road again. We then traveled to Opelika to Josh's grandparents (Tills). We played dirty santa up there as well . We enjoyed a great time with them, but began our journey back home around 8. I was EXHAUSTED!

The day after Christmas, of course, we hit the sales again. I managed to get everything i went for, so my morning was a success. That night we had another family christmas get together with some my extended family from out of town. We also played dirty and had a blast.

Christmas was great this year and I loved it, but I was sure glad to rest a little.

New Years was a blur. We went to a friends house in Elba to ring in the New Year, but we didn't make it til midnight.

Sorry for not having any pictures...maybe i will make it my new years resolution to take more pics. :)

So if you don't already know....Josh and I are expecting our first child in March. We are super excited and getting ready for HIM to be here. Thats right a he...Avery Bryant. We recently had a 4D ultrasound and they are amazing! Here is a pic of Avery yawning during his photo shoot. :)

Viva Las Vegas!

Josh and I recently returned from Las Vegas. We had so much fun! We visited The Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam while we were there and loved it! I really think it was the highlight of our trip. We had a few obstacles, but nothing too serious. My parents have never flown commercially before and so I knew we would have to slow our pace down for them a little. Everything started out great until our flight was delayed in Pensacola. Our layover in ATL was only an hour, so I got really worried when we were only going to have 20 minutes to get to our next flight. Once we boarded our flight in P-cola it was delayed another 15 minutes and now I knew we would probably miss our flight to Las Vegas. I was constantly telling my parents that we were going to have to RUN to our next flight...(my dad would just smirk at me). We finally landed in ATL and they would not let us off the flight, ultimately missing the flight to Las Vegas (we could have made it to our flight in 5 minutes if they would have let us off :) haha). Anyways, a couple a weeks ago I got a new phone and remembered that I could check flight status' on it. So, i proceeded to do so and behold our flight to Las Vegas was delayed 20 minutes!! Need less to say we made it and directly boarded our flight. YAY! After that stressful (probably only for me) situation, we were stress free for most of the trip. (except my mom broke her toe on the couch in the hotel) :( She was a trooper and didn't let it bother her. Josh and I roamed the strip while my parents gambled most nights. We ate at a couple of the Casinos for lunch and dinner. My dad and Josh really enjoyed their prime rib at Ellis Island. As for me, meat is not my thing right now, which limits me on what I eat. All in all it was a great trip and if your headed to Las Vegas I definitely recommend splurging and going to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon, it is well worth it! Here are some pics from our vaca...

Update 1:

Josh and I are headed to Vegas (along with my parents)! We will be flying out of Pensacola next Friday morning and then catching a flight in Atlanta! I am so excited and soooo ready to go! We have decided to take a trip out to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon while we are there also.

Update 2:

WE are soooo EXCITED about some FOOTBALL! WAR EAGLE! This has to be our favorite time of the year! We went to our first high school football game last Friday night and it was great! We plan on going to the Auburn vs. West Virginia game in September and I cannot wait! I guess you can say that are weekends are booked from now until December!

Last year a friend of mine at work gave Josh and I a plant as a housewarming gift. She brought it to me in a five gallon bucket and my first instinct was that this plant will not last a week! My green thumb is probably a light shade of yellow. :) Anyways, she told that this was a unique plant and that it only bloomed at night. A moon plant ???? Weird, yes. So, I took the plant home and tried to decide where I needed to plant it. After we bought our house in June of 2008 Josh went around and pulled up all the azalea bushes because he hates them! Well, this left a perfect spot at the back corner of our house for this plant and so there it remains. At first the plant didn't look so great and Josh noted several times that he thought he might need to pull it up, because it looked like a weed and heaven forbide we have anything that looks like a weed or an azalea bush. :) A couple of weeks later it started to blosom and yes it only bloomed at night or dusk. It is the most beautiful plant (at night) and we absolutely love it! Anytime we pull into the driveway at night and the plant is in full bloom Josh always has tell me how much he loves that plant. Here is a pic of the plant last night. It normally has a couple more blooms, but it is still very pretty.

Another interesting thing about this plant is that after the summer is over and the plant is done blooming, weird medium sized spiky balls start to appear on it. My friend told me that they held the seeds, so if anyone wants a moon plant I will have some seeds in the fall!

Now for more recent activities...
My family just returned from our annual trip to the beach. It is always hectic trying to get all 15 ( including children) together. We had a great time even though sometimes it can be stressful. We grilled hamburgers the first night and then went to the Crab Trap to eat the second night. Last year we hit up the water parks, but we decided we just wanted to relax this year. No plans! On Saturday night after eating a wonderful meal at the Crab Trap we decided to go the Race car tracks and putt-putt golf course. We all had a blast acting like kids again. Even my parents rode the rides! :) We also enjoyed staying around the condo doing some fishing. Here are some pics from our weekend .

This is Josh and I on our cruise to Key West and Freeport, Bahamas in May. We had a great time. We originally were suppose to go Mexico, but because of the swine flu we were rerouted to the other destinations.
